Regular forum users will know that we have regretfully taken the decision to close the forum for good.

Although there have been occasions where the forum generated lively and valuable debates, here in Echo Towers we felt is was too often drifting away from the subject under discussion and descending into outright mud slinging.

We’re very keen to build a vibrant online community at bournemouthecho.co.uk where everyone can express their opinions and we thought a fresh start would do everyone some good.

We’re keeping Ask the Echo, in this new format, and the comments facility under each story will always be there, except in exceptional cases.

So feel free to submit your questions about the Daily Echo and we’ll do our best to get them answered for you.

We can’t promise we’ll always be able to tell you everything – and if you f eel you have a serious complaint you should make it through the proper channels – but we’ll do our best to answer honestly and openly.

Our opinions might not always match with yours, but the aim is to let you know why we do what we do and give you an insight into what we’re trying to achieve.
