POOLE boxer Lee Cutler is set to face Stephen McKenna in Liverpool next month.

The pair will fight for the WBC International Silver super welterweight title at the Exhibition Centre on Merseyside on December 14.

Verwood-raised Cutler has a record of 14-1 with seven KOs, while his opponent in undefeated, with the Irishman holding a record of 15-0 with 14 KOs.

The fight features on an undercard for a hometown unification bout between IBF World Champion Natasha Jones and WBC World Title holder Ivana Habazin.

Cutler’s previous fight was in December last year, when he beat Kingsley Egbunike to claim the English super welterweight title.

He claimed victory via unanimous points decision at the Bournemouth International Centre, on the undercard as stablemate Chris Billam-Smith defended his WBO cruiserweight title against Mateusz Masternak.

Cutler’s only career defeat has come to Bradley Rea in March 2021 at Wembley Arena.

He told the Daily Echo earlier this year that his plan was to fight Joe Laws, before aiming at British and European titles and headlining in Bournemouth.

But the 28-year-old said he felt his fans deserve an away day – and they’ll get that in Liverpool next month.
