BOURNEMOUTH boxer Denise Castle will return to Thailand in just over a week’s time in a bid to lay her hands on the vacant WBC Silver atomweight title.
Castle flies out to the south-east Asian country to face Japan’s Sana Hazuki having previously won three bouts in Thailand, including her WIBA World minimumweight title win.
The two will take to the ring at Spaceplus Bangkok RCA on Thursday, September 28, in what will be Castle’s second attempt at the belt.
She was defeated by split decision by Filipino Norj Guro at Habtoor Ground Hotel in March of last year, who has since vacated the title.
Previewing the fight, Castle stated: “I’ve strived for so many years.
“This will be the pinnacle and (be) just amazing.
“I am who I am and I inspire a lot of people.
“The WBC Green and Gold Belt is the one I want!”
