PIRATES number one Rory Schlein has been left nursing a leg injury with two ambulances called after a nasty first-bend crash at Glasgow.
The 36-year-old tangled with Craig Cook in a racing incident heading into the first bend at Peugeot Ashfield Stadium and clattered into the air fence.
It was a re-run of the opening heat in Scotland after a tapes malfunction initially saw all four riders called back.
The full extent of Schlein’s injury is not yet known with a suspected break announced, but the meeting is set for a lengthy delay.
More to follow.
