A POPULAR country park and forest has temporarily closed for the weekend due to the weather.
Moors Valley Country Park and Forest announced on social media that the site will be closed on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24
It is planned for the park to reopen at 10.30am on Monday, November 25 to allow rangers to assess the tracks for damage.
The closure comes after strong wind forecasts from Storm Bert.
Weather warnings are in place until the end of Sunday.
The park shared online: "High wind alert.
"Due to the strong wind forecast, we have made the decision to close the park for the whole weekend Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th.
"We aim to open at 10.30am on Monday morning, allowing rangers to assess the tracks and trails for any damage after high winds over the weekend
"Please keep an eye on social media for updates."
