RETAILER The Range looks set to be opening its first shop in Christchurch

Job adverts have been posted for different roles at the shop that sells home, garden and leisure products.

Roles include sales and warehouse assistants on a part-time basis.

The advert said: “As a result of our expansion plans and our continued ongoing success we are looking to appoint a part time warehouse assistant.”

The Range has stores in Turbary Retail Park in Ringwood Road, Bournemouth, and others in Weymouth and Dorchester.

The Range, which runs 210 stores across the UK, struck a deal last year to buy Wilko’s brand, website and intellectual property after the high street chain tumbled into administration.

There is unverified rumours that it will go into Christchurch's Homebase, after The Range's parent company rescued Homebase out of administration earlier this month.

The Range has been contacted for more details. Homebase declined to comment.

“Working for The Range is no ordinary job,” the job advert added.

“We are a Sunday Times Top Track 100 company and one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers.

“Much of this success is thanks to our talented and passionate teams. From retail opportunities nationwide to innovative roles in our head office and fulfilment positions at our state of the art distribution centres, you’re sure to find the role to match your skills and your ambition.

“People are at the heart of our retail concept, and we want to invest in our staff and make the future extraordinary.

“Apply today for a challenging and rewarding position in a dynamic, fast paced environment and take the next step in your career.”
