A NEW 90’s nostalgia exhibition is coming to Wimborne.

I Grew Up 90’s is the Museum of East Dorset’s latest exhibition open to the public from now until March 29, 2025.

Visitors are invited to take a trip back in time to discover over 200 iconic objects and artworks that bring the Nineties era to vivid life.

Highlights include nods to the girl power of the Spice Girls, the global success of Pokémon, and film posters like Trainspotting.

Visitors can also revisit TV favourites such as Teletubbies and gaming classics. The exhibition explores the Nineties through the eyes of youth, celebrating a defining era of Britpop and Cool Britannia.

Rob Gray, the museum’s collections and exhibition manager, said: “We hope mums and dads who grew up in the 90s will bring their children to show them a snapshot of what their own childhood was all about.”

Curated by collector and cultural commentator Matt Fox, the exhibition also includes memorabilia from local events in Wimborne during the decade.

Rob added: “It should certainly spark some fond ‘I remember that!’ memories to share.”

Admission is free with a museum ticket, priced at £5.50 for children aged 5–16 and £12 for adults. Family tickets are available, and admission includes 12 months of unlimited entry.
