OFFICERS are investigating after two motorcycles were stolen in Swanage.
Dorset Police were alerted to a report of theft at around 10pm on October 18.
A stolen motorcycle was found dumped in the area of Steer Road.
Another motorcycle was stolen from a parking area behind Ilminster Road at around the same time.
Three suspects wearing balaclavas and face coverings were seen attempting to steal the motorcycle from Steer Road.
A spokesperson for Purbeck Police said: “If you live in these areas and have CCTV or a doorbell camera please have a look and see if you capture anything that may help.
“Enquiries in to both these thefts are ongoing.
“If you can help please get in touch on 101 or online via the Dorset Police website using the following reference numbers.
“Steer Rd – 55240161024.
“Ilminster Rd – 55240161053.
“If you own a moped/motorbike, try and park it in a garden or somewhere off the road, as this makes it less likely to be targeted.
“Those parked in the street are less risky to the thief. Whether you park it out of sight or in the street, always try to put a chain or lock through a wheel.”
