A MAN from New Milton has been sentenced after pleading guilty to breaching a restraining order earlier this year.
Oliver David Mayled, 35, admitted walking in an area of New Milton, contrary to the conditions of his restraining order on June 2.
The breach of the order came just four days after it had first been imposed, on May 29.
Mayled, of Davis Field, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 10), where he was fined £200 and must also now pay £85 in costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
Sam Chapman, of New Milton neighbourhood policing team, said: “Restraining orders are put in place for a reason, and that is to protect victims from further harm.
“Anyone who chooses to breach their restraining order will be dealt with accordingly and brought before the courts, as was the case here with Mayled.
“Mayled believed he could continue doing what he wanted, without any consequences, but that wasn’t the case, as he has now found out.”
