THIEVES have been targeting people’s possessions left in parked vehicles in a Travelodge car park.

A white Cube women’s bike was stolen from the back of a Vauxhall Crossland parked in the hotel at Lifeboat Quay, Poole, at about 10pm on Sunday, September 15.

And then an orange Stihl chainsaw was also taken from a white Ford Transit tipper parked in the same location.

The stolen bicycle is described as having magenta writing on the 56cm frame, a white Cateye cycling computer attached to the handlebars and a saddle bag containing a silver hand-pump, inner tube and multi-tool.

Police constable Mark Matthews, of Poole police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around the relevant time to please get in touch.

“I would also like to hear from any motorists driving in the area at the time to please check their dashcams to see if they have captured any footage of relevance.

“In addition, I would like to hear from anyone who has witnessed the described items being sold in-person or online in suspicious circumstances.

“Lastly, I would ask members of the public to remain vigilant by making sure they have not left any valuables in their vehicles when leaving them unattended.”
