A LIFETIME collection of vehicle memorabilia from a late motorist historian is being sold at an auction in Sherbourne.

The automobilia, amassed by the late Nick Baldwin, is being sold by Charterhouse in Sherborne in their specialist auction on September 25.

Richard Bromwell, a spokesman for the event, said: “This is the largest single-owner collection of automobilia I have had the pleasure of auctioning in nearly 40 years.

“From car mascots to enamel signs, to vintage car lamps there is something for everyone with it all being sold without reserve.”

Nick Baldwin, who lived on the Somerset/Devon border, was a leading motoring historian, journalist, author and avid collector who sadly passed away earlier this year.

His vast collection totals over 200 amazing lots and is estimated to sell for £25,000-£30,000 at the auction.

Viewing for the auction is from Monday, September 23, or you can see all the lots and bid live online via charterhouse-auction.com.
