FIVE laptops were stolen from a shop in Bournemouth town centre.

At around 4.20am on Friday, September 6 a man forced entry to Bournemouth IT Solutions (BITS) in Old Christchurch Road.

The laptops were later found by a police officer in a nearby alleyway.

Police Constable Zachary Dredge, of Bournemouth police, is now asking for some binmen who were working in the area at the time to help with his enquiries.

He said: “We understand that there were a number of refuse staff working outside the premises at the time that the man left, so I am keen to speak to them as well as any other witnesses who saw or heard suspicious activity in the area.

“If you live or were driving in the area at the time of the incident, I would ask you to please check any home CCTV or dashcam footage to see if you have captured anything that may assist our enquiries.”
