I UNDERSTAND that there is to be a legal action taken against BCP's attempts to improve safety strategies in Poole Park.

I am slightly surprised that any functioning adult would think that their "right" to drive through a public park was more important than the safety of other users.

I believe that the clue to the resolution is in the word park.

No doubt some motorists will be discomforted by having to drive a little further - but not as discomforted as anyone whose family or friends were injured in any accident arising from motorists "winning" this argument.

It might help if motorists favouring the action were to ask themselves "Am I being selfish?" .
