A BROADSTONE care home resident who has spent 60 years in Poole celebrated her 104th birthday with family.
Born in Norway in 1920, Marjorie first came to the UK when she was a few months old and was the eldest of four siblings who all of which she has outlived.
Working as a cleaner until she was 76, Marjorie and her family were the first family to move onto the Waterloo estate where she lived until she was 96 before moving into Burwood Nursing Home.
A spokesperson for Burwood Nursing Home said: "Marjorie has a love for cats and finds a lot of comfort in animals, she often has a cat cuddly toy she likes to have on her lap.
"When Marjorie was asked about turning 104, she said she could not believe it."
Said to have loved dancing, Marjorie was married for 62 years to her husband, George, who passed away aged 86.
Marjorie has one son, David, and a daughter-in-law, Maggie.
