A MAN has been arrested a month after two men in balaclavas stabbed a man in the shoulder while sat in a car park.

It was reported that a man in his 20s was stabbed while sat in a car with his window down in Morrisons car park on Hightown Road, Ringwood on August 3. 

He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged, with his injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life changing.

Two men were seen to leave the scene in a silver Mercedes C200 sport.

Following enquiries, a 28-year-old man from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: “Our enquiries into this incident have now led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man from Bournemouth on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.

"He has been released from police custody but remains on bail with conditions to allow for further enquiries to take place.
