Several pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.
Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

Casper
Gender - Male
Age - Nine years old
Breed - Labrador Retriever crossbreed

Casper is a dog who loves his walks and playtime and is looking to find a new family to take him in.
He has previously lived with another larger dog and has enjoyed a few social walks whilst at Ashley Heath so could potentially live with another calmer dog.
Casper is a sensitive boy who definitely prefers having company during the day so would need some confidence built up before being left at home alone for a few hours.
The RSPCA adds: "As far as we are aware, Casper has not lived with children, we are therefore looking to find him a home where any children are older teenagers."
Alfie
Gender - Male
Age - 11 years old
Breed - Beagle crossbreed
Colour - Beige/White

Alfie came into the care of the RSPCA after being abandoned in a property for several days.
He is described as an "adventurous" and "sociable" chap who would most likely benefit from sharing a home with another dog.
Initially, Alfie will require someone home for most of the day, but once settled and into his new routine, he may be fine to be left for a few hours.
Additionally, he would like to have a home with a secure garden to enjoy laying safely in the sun and playing off lead.
Rosie
Gender - Female
Age - Four years old
Breed - American Bulldog

Rosie is described as a "larger-sized dog with a big heart" and is looking to find a loving new home.
Due to her history, Rosie can find life a bit worrying at times and may be vocal when startled by unfamiliar people or dogs.
However, once she gets to know you and other dogs, she becomes friendly and calm.
She is strong on the lead but responds well to her training cues, and is comfortable wearing a muzzle which is necessary on walks.
Ideally, Rosie is hoping to find a calm, adult-only home where she will be the only pet.
The RSPCA adds: "Once Rosie gets to know you, she is incredibly affectionate, loves to snuggle, and enjoys a fuss with those she knows well."
Stormy
Gender - Male
Age - Five years old
Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Stormy came into the care of Ashley Heath due to his owner's change of circumstances.
He is said to be a "chatty" fellow who loves a bit of attention and treats of course.
On arrival at the centre, Stormy had a mild skin condition which was likely to be allergy-related.
He responded well to treatment but may have short intermittent periods where his skin may flare up again.
Being a white cat he will also require daily sun protection applied to his ear pinnea in the warmer weather.
Stormy is looking to find a home where any children living there are above the age of eight and where he is the only pet.
Pierre
Gender - Male
Age - One year old
Breed - Lurcher crossbreed
Colour - Brindle

Pierre is said to have "a real zest for life" and is looking to find a loving forever home.
He came into the care of the RSPCA due to welfare concerns and it was clear he had lacked socialisation with both other dogs and people.
Pierre has been on a training plan since arriving and his behaviour has improved significantly.
The centre adds: "As a smart young lad we feel he would suit an active family who would enjoy exercising both his body and mind through a variety of different activities, games and training."

Lady Mittens
Gender - Female
Age - 14 years old
Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour - Grey and White

Previously called Socks, Lady Mittens came into the centre due to welfare concerns.
She is quite independent but does enjoy a small amount of playtime and a bit of fuss initiated on her own terms.
Lady Mittens is on a regular steroid medication to control her skin allergies and also requires monthly prescription flea treatments.
Additionally, she is not to be rehomed within five miles of Poole (BH12).
