Several pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

Colin

Age - Zero to three months old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colin came into the centre through no fault of his own as he was part of a household that had way too many pets.

He is from a group of three energetic siblings who were quite nervous at first but have learned to love fuss and attention.

Colin will need someone to be home the majority of the day to spend time with and is not to be rehomed in Portsmouth.

Daphne

Daphne was among Colin's siblings who came into the RSPCA from a household that had too many pets.

Like him, will need someone to be home the majority of the day to spend time with and is not to be rehomed in Portsmouth.

She may also be able to live with another cat depending on the situation.

Benedict

Benedict is the final member of the siblings that have come into the care of the RSPCA recently.

Like the others he has grown up around children of all ages so should be fine in a house with kids living there.

Hades

Hades and his three brothers came into our centre from a multi-rabbit household and are now looking for a new place.

He is described as "sweet and adventurous" and likes to spend time exploring his space.

The centre adds: "If you are interested in adopting a rabbit from RSPCA Ashley Heath you would need to have accommodation already in place.

"A pair of rabbits will require unrestricted access to a space measuring 6ft by 10ft, totalling 60 square feet. This is equivalent to a 6ft by 2ft hutch with an attached 6ft by 8ft run, containing enrichment and furnishings to allow them to hide and exhibit natural behaviour. A converted shed with a run or a rabbit-proofed indoor room would also be appropriate."

Zeus

One of the brothers of Hades, Zeus came into the care of the RSPCA from a multi-rabbit household.

He is aiming to find a new place, either with his brothers or to be a companion for a female rabbit.

Zeus enjoys running around and will be looking for enrichment in a new home to keep him entertained.

Pierre is said to have "a real zest for life" and is looking to find a loving forever home.

He came into the care of the RSPCA due to welfare concerns and it was clear he had lacked socialisation with both other dogs and people.

Pierre has been on a training plan since arriving and his behaviour has improved significantly.

They centre adds: "As a smart young lad we feel he would suit an active family who would enjoy exercising both his body and mind through a variety of different activities, games and training."
