REGULAR bus services between a railway station and the beach will return this summer.
Morebus’ popular 99 Beach Bus is to return to Boscombe this summer following the “tremendous success” of last year’s route.
The service runs between Pokesdown train station, Boscombe town centre and the pier in Sea Road.
Funded by BCP Council, the circular bus route runs up to every 30 minutes between 9.30am and 6.30pm, seven days a week.
A spokesman for Boscombe Regeneration said: “Beach lovers can hop on and off throughout the summer, making it easier than ever to enjoy the sun and surf.
“Whether you're heading to the beach for a day of relaxation, planning a picnic by the pier or exploring the vibrant Boscombe centre, the beach bus has you covered.
“With convenient stops and a schedule designed to maximize your beach time, this service is perfect for families, friends, and solo adventurers alike.”
The project has been delivered by the Bournemouth Towns Fund, which is funded by the Government Department of Levelling Up alongside BCP Council.
