NATIONALLY, we have had 667 police stations closed in the last 14 years. Many of these closures would have included holding cells that surely could could been useful to house low risk prisoners.
In addition to the many closures of stations in Dorset, six front desks were closed at other stations just to save £300,000.
It would appear that our current PCC, David Sidwick is working hard to reopen these desks.
Let us all hope that some of the damage over the last 14 years can be over turned.
