AN URGENT appeal has been sent out by a desperate dog owner whose pet has gone missing.

Two-year-old rescue dog Nala went missing on July 4 at 4pm from Matchams Lane when she jumped out of the car.

According to its owner Katrin Gray, Nala “panicked” and crossed the A338 but, by some miracle, made it across alive and was later seen in Wattons Lane near Matchams viewpoint.

The dog’s last sighting was at 9pm on July 4 in the area Boundary Lane and Wayfair Lane.

Katrin said: “We have been driving up and down the entire area and put posters up. We are talking to locals and farmers but the area is too big to cover as it is the forest.

“We live in lower Parkstone/Lilliput so our dog has no chance of finding her way back home. She is a very friendly dog but very anxious, shy and nervous.

“She could be by now anywhere in Dorset/Hurn area or outside Bournemouth Airport, Christchurch, Ferndown, Ashley Heath or gone into the Ringwood/Hampshire area.

“As a family we are totally devastated. Nala is a female, medium size German Shepherd/Collie mix, she is microchipped and wears a yellow collar.”

Anybody who spots Nala should call or text James on 07860 363994.
