TWO people have been arrested after vehicles were stolen from north Dorset.
Officers stopped a vehicle on the A350 at Charlton Marshall, near Blandford, shortly after 2pm on Thursday, June 13.
It follows two cars that were stolen from Sturminster Newton and Shaftesbury earlier this week, according to the police.
The two people who were in the car, including a 30-year-old man from north Dorset and a 41-year-old woman from Wincanton, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle in relation to two incidents.
On the alleged thefts, a spokeswoman from Dorset Police said: “The first incident was reported to have occurred in Sturminster Newton on Tuesday 11 June and the second incident is alleged to have occurred in Shaftesbury between Monday 10 June and Tuesday 11 June 2024.
“Enquiries are continuing and the two arrested people have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.”
