WIMBORNE Folk festival will make its return this weekend with thousands expected to line the streets.
Now in its 42nd year, the three-day long event never fails to bring the market town and its communities together.
Visitors can expect live folk music, traditional dances, comedy and art, plus the endless offerings of food and drink from stalls.
A spokesman for the festival said: “From Friday to Sunday this weekend Wimborne will be a fabulous place to be.
“There is so much planned for around the town.
“Newcomers to the festival this year are Walford Mill who have some live music and look out for the nature trail - Great for Families.
“The Thirsty Bird on East Street is also involved this year and hosting some talented buskers on Saturday. Do check them out.”
Acts will also be performing at the Allendale, including Merry Hell, Du Glass and Detta Kenzie.
Each year, typically around 70,000 people line the streets to watch the procession make its way through the town.
There will be a number of road closures in Wimborne throughout the weekend, including East Borough, The Square, High Street and on Saturday afternoon during the festival procession, East Street and Park Lane.
