New displays will be added throughout the season, with many guests being able to watch in wonder as sculptors create their works of art. The sculptures are so beautifully detailed, it is hard to believe that they are just sand and water.

Dorset Opera Festival
50 Years of Operatic Spectacle!
The Dorset Opera Festival, regarded as the home of Country House opera in the South West, celebrates its Golden Anniversary this July.
Having been a finalist at the prestigious International Opera Awards held in Warsaw last November, this year’s Festival offers Puccini’s Madama Butterfly (to commemorate the composer’s death 100 years ago) and, in celebration of the company’s 50th Anniversary, they have commissioned an opera that links them to the county’s most-fêted forefather: Thomas Hardy.
Polymath/composer, Paul Carr, has committed Hardy’s novel Under the Greenwood Tree, to music. The world première takes place at Bryanston on 23 July. Tickets go on sale online on Tuesday, 26 March.
The summer evenings are almost guaranteed to be balmy enough for outdoor picnics and 4-course opera dinners. Champagne and Pimm’s will be flowing in the marquee bar.
