A NUMBER of cafés, pubs, restaurants, and takeaways across Dorset have been handed new food hygiene ratings recently.
They include a New Forest holiday park which has been told “some improvement necessary” and a Thai restaurant in Wareham which has been given a glowing rating are included in this week’s round up.
Each week, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) inspects businesses across the country, assessing hygiene and safety, structural compliance and confidence in management.
Across the UK, every food outlet including convenience stores, restaurants, hospitals and care homes are given a hygiene rating.
What each hygiene rating means:
0 - Urgent improvement necessary
1 - Major improvement necessary
2 - Some improvement necessary
3 - Hygiene standards generally satisfactory
4 - Hygiene standards good
5 - Hygiene standards very good

Rated 2:
Hoburne Bashley, in Sway Road, New Milton was handed the score after assessment on September 30.
Rated 3:
Abbey Friar, in Westbury, Sherborne was given the score after assessment on September 28.
Olive Take Away in Milton Green, Christchurch Road, New Milton was rated on October 5
Rated 4:
Hoburne Naish, in Glenside, Naish Estate, Christchurch Road, New Milton was given a score of four on September 30.
Wade and Wallow in New Street, Lymington was rated on October 4
Red Chilli Indian Takeaway in Milton Green, Christchurch Road, New Milton was rated on October 31
Rated 5:
Like Mum Makes, in Kinson Road, Bournemouth was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 21.
Littledown Leisure Centre, in Chaseside, Bournemouth was also given a score of five on May 24.
Thai Jasmine Restaurant in North Street, Wareham was rated on October 25
Loaded in Sandford Holiday Park Organford Road, Holton Heath was rated on August 16
Dolphin Inn at The Dolphin Peacemarsh Road, Gillingham was rated on November 3
The Bees Knees Organford Honey at BH16 was rated on November 3
The Pantry at the Grainstore in Shaftesbury Lane, Blandford Forum was rated on October 27
Nihal Spice in High Street, Swanage was rated on October 25
Colin Nash Restaurant in Lyndhurst Road, Hinton, Christchurch was rated on October 25
The High Street Kitchen in High Street, Lymington was rated on October 24
Super Brothers Arms Cocktail Wine and Tapas in Whitefield Road, New Milton was rated on October 28
Crepe Roulette at BH24 was rated on November 6
Pennington Fish and Chips in Milford Road, Pennington was rated on October 21
