MOREBUS will be offering discounted tickets for people using its app for the first time this Friday.
Fifteen per cent will be knocked off the price of an adult Dayrider ticket as part of World Car Free Day this Friday, September 22.
The move is part of the operator’s commitment to helping more people use sustainable transport in and around Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
World Car Free Day aims at easing congestion, as well as improving air quality by promoting sustainable transport to motorists as alternative methods of travel.
Andrew Wickham Morebus managing director said: “At Morebus, we welcome any initiative designed to reduce the harmful effects exhaust emissions have on the environment.

“Many buses in our fleet are the newest and cleanest in the region - including our latest acquisition of 49 new buses, which have begun to arrive here.
“World Car Free Day ties in perfectly with what we are trying to achieve here in Dorset. Buses provide the perfect and affordable solution to reducing air pollution, so we’re proud to have invested millions of pounds in improving the comfort and reliability of our services here.”
To take advantage of the offer, people using the app for the first time should use the code CARFREE when they buy their tickets.
