PAINTERS are invited to go head-to-head in a one-day art competition in Poole.
The Art Pro Loco event will take place at Poole Park and artists of all ages and abilities can come and make a piece of art in a day.
Poole and East Dorset Art Society (PEDAS) have organised the event, running between Friday, July 28 to Sunday, July 31.
People can come on any of the three days to the Art and Makers studio in the park from 10.30am and register before creating their painting or drawing.
Pro Loco means ‘of the place’, with the idea being to make a piece of art based on the location, in this case Poole Park.
All the art will then be displayed by PEDAS as soon as it is brought back to the studio, whether you are an aspiring artist, child or professional.
Members of the public can then come on Sunday and vote for their favourite, with three categories of winners and prizes awarded on Monday, July 31 at 3pm.
There will be an entry fee of £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for children, cash only, per work. Each entry will receive a date stamp and an entry number.
Artwork can be offered for sale, if artists would like, with no commission.
