A MUCH-anticipated adventure and entertainment complex will finally open its doors in Poole this weekend.
Flip Out indoor adventure park will welcome visitors at Poole’s Dolphin shopping centre for the first time on Saturday, May 27, becoming the first site of its kind in Dorset.
It will launch in the former Marks and Spencer unit alongside a Putt Putt Noodle venue – an Asian-inspired adventure golf experience.
Some £3million is being invested in the development, which will create 90 full and part-time jobs, after it was approved BCP Council in August last year with no public objections filed.
Richard Beese, co-owner of Flip Out and Putt Putt Noodle, said: “While it has taken longer than we anticipated to finally open, we can't wait to start welcoming families and fun seekers from Poole and the surrounding area.
“We just know that they are going to love both these experiences and we look forward to pulling out all of the stops to make Flip Out and Putt Putt Noodle the leading family attractions in Dorset, becoming a big part of the community and playing our part in bolstering the economy in Poole town centre.”
Flip Out Poole will house:
- Electric karts
- Laser tag
- Interactive technology-infused football
- Cannon Blast
- Roller skating
- Bumper cars
- Soft play
- Sega arcade
- A diner
Putt Putt Noodle will also open on Saturday.
The openings round off a strong period for The Dolphin centre, which recently welcomed a High Score Arcade to the site.
John Grinnell, centre manager of The Dolphin, said: “Flip Out is already a hugely well-known and popular brand and having its first Dorset attraction open at The Dolphin, really does bring something unique to our centre.
“Flip Out's opening complements a variety of new initiatives that have launched at the Dolphin over the past two years as part of our wider strategy to reimagine the shopping centre, aiming to deliver a more diversified retail experience for those visiting the town.
“By curating a wider experience for residents that goes beyond the usual retail offering, we are putting Poole on the map and attracting heavyweight brands from across the UK.”
The opening in Poole is the first of several new Flip Outs and Putt Putt Noodles opening in the UK this year, including in Telford, Liverpool and East London.
