A scenic road in Wareham has been closed by police due to excess flooding.
Police have had to close Furzebrook Road, on the way to The Blue Pool Nature Reserve and Tearooms, after cars have attempted to drive through the stagnant water and have been rescued.
With yet more rain forecasted overnight, officers from Purbeck Police Station have urged drivers to “take great care” whilst out on the roads.
A spokesman from the force said: “Following the heavy rain we had overnight, the Furzebrook Road to Blue Pool is flooded.
“Police have had to shut the road due to the depth of the water. Please do not drive through this as cars have already got stuck and had to be rescued.
“There is more rain on the way this evening so please take great care on the roads.”
