A CLIFF TOP restaurant has put forward plans to replace its garden bar.
The Cliff House in Barton-on-Sea wants to replace the existing garden bar and barbecue, which were initially build as temporary structures and received planning permission.
A planning statement from the applicant, in support of proposals for the site in Marine Drive West, says: "The buildings have seen significant wear and tear and as such needed to be re-built ahead of the summer season.
"In reviewing the layout and shape of the bar, we have been able to improve the efficiency of the space, which is particularly pertinent given the focus on outside space for hospitality this summer."
If approved by New Forest District Council, the new garden bar would increase service speed, provide improved aesthetics and offer an all-day food provision, the applicants say.
