STEVENS Esther Elizabeth "Cissie" Passed away peacefully on 28th May 2024 aged 90 years. Beloved wife to t/l Jack and devoted mother of Beverley, Sally and Sara. Wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cissie will be greatly missed by everyone. Funeral Service to be held at Long Barrow Ceremony Hall, Harbour View Crematorium, Lytchett Minster on Monday 17th June at 10.30am. Family flowers only please. To Beverley, Sally, Sara and families. So sorry to hear of the passing of Cissie. Sending condolences to you all. Although we are a long way from you in New Zealand you are always in our thoughts. I have fond childhood memories of Cis’s visits to Stanley Rd every Wednesday and Sunday when our brother Jack was in Malaya. Cis always brought my brother Mike and I spangles and wine gums (I always told Cis I preferred wine gums!) A number of Sundays Cis would be brave enough to take two active, mischievous boys to Sandbanks beach and often she would buy us the full size Mars bar - such a treat in the 50’s.
I have now lived in New Zealand for over 50 years but when my wife Lynne and I have returned to Poole Cis was always so welcoming. Always a great listener and always a story to tell. Fly high with the angels Cissie and be joined with your loving Jack - he will be waiting at the Purley gates for you. Rest In Peace Cis . Until we meet again.
