MILLS Gerald Tranfield Died peacefully at home on January 11, 2023, aged 104. After his wartime role in the Tank Regiment, he became a technical illustrator at the de Haviland Aircraft Co., then at Flight Refuelling (now Cobham), SRDE and the Royal Corps of Signals. He was also an accomplished portrait and landscape painter; he taught art for over 25 years until he took 'early retirement' aged 90. Gerald's wit, civility and kindness provide many happy memories for his children Stewart, Nolan and Kevin, their children and grandchildren. He will soon be reunited with his late wife Daphne. Funeral at Bournemouth Crematorium: 11:15, February 6.
