HIGHAM John Robert Passed away peacefully on 5th December 2021, aged 77 years. Beloved Godfather of Gareth and who will be dearly missed by all the family in Oxfordshire. Funeral service will take place at Bournemouth Crematorium on Friday 7th January 2022 at 12.00 noon. Donations in lieu of flowers for The British Heart Foundation c/o: Edd Frost & Daughters Family Funeral Directors, 14 Canada Close, Banbury, OX16 2RT. Tel: 01295 40 40 04.

Thanks, I worked with him for a few years and then kept in touch - we always looked forward to his postcards from his foreign adventures! His school trips were great fun, his historical explanations brought the visits to life, although as a young teacher it was tricky to remind him that sharing Ouzo with the students was perhaps not such a good idea… We will miss him.

Yes, he was a Latin teacher at Bournemouth School for Girls for many years.

It was a pleasure to care for John in the last months of his life. Such a lovely man with a great sense of humour! Will be missed by many of the staff and residents at Glebefields in Banbury. X
