Notice is hereby given by East Dorset District Council ("the Council") that, with effect from 13th June 2016, under Schedules 8 and 10 of The Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the Act of 2004"), the whole of the Council's area will be designated as a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions and as a special enforcement area. As of that date parking enforcement on those car parks operated by the Council will be carried out under the Act of 2004's regulatory framework, the same regulations as apply in respect of on-street parking enforcementwithin thatarea.

Parking contraventions are subject to either a higher level or a lower level penalty charge, inaccordance with national guidelines given by the Secretary of State for Transport. Under Part 3 of Schedule 9 to the Act of2004 and in accordance with guidelines given by The Secretary of State for Transport in The Civil EnforcementofParking Contraventions (Guidelines on Levels of Charges) (England) Order 2007, the Council have set and hereby publish the following levels of penaltycharges which will come into effecton13thJune2016.(These levels of penalty charges will apply in respect of parking contraventions on all car parks operated by the Council and are the same levels as currently apply in respect of on-street parking contraventions in East Dorset);
