TEMPORARY ROAD & FOOTPATH CLOSURE
BLAND FORD CLOSE (BETWEEN HAMWORTHY LODGE AND CARTER COMMUNITY SCHOOL AND ALSO THE FOOTPATH OUTSIDE THE PUMPING STATION
THE POOLE (BLANDFORD CLOSE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2016
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road and Footpath should be prohibited and has made an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 5, 14(1), 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers as detailed above, the effect of this Order is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle or pedestrian to proceed along that part of Blandford Close affected by the works. Frontagers and Emergency Services will be given precise details of the closure dates in due course by the Contractor.
Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis.
The closure Is required for the Installation of a sewer
The footpath outside the Sewage Pumping Station will be closed from Monday 21 March 2016 until Tuesday 12 April 2016. The road closure will be from Tuesday 29 March 2016 until Tuesday 12 April 2016.
The proposed Order is effective between Monday 21 March 2016 and Tuesday 12 April 2016. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.
If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £400.
